This season has brought a lot of challenges for anglers. It started out with a very late ice out, followed by severe temperature swings, followed next by drought conditions for most of the summer, followed by even more severe temperature swings. Through all of that, the fishing has remained fairly good. As we turn the page from summer into fall, we begin to get excited for the fish to become aggressive again, fattening up for winter. It can be one of the best bites of the year, but early fall can also be one of the toughest.

In this recent Virtual Angling Livestream clip, Jason Mitchell and Nick Lindner talk about how quickly conditions can change in the fall, and how being able to adapt to those conditions can result in turning a poor outing into a successful one.
