Crappies are a fun fish to target in the spring and early summer. Finding them this time of year can also be a breeze, especially if you can find down timber with scattered weeds.
For a setup, use a small bobber, jig, and plastic. In this case it’s a 1/32 oz. tungsten jig by Eurotackle and a 1″ Gulp! minnow did the trick.
Success is in the details. Remember, after every missed bite or caught fish, make sure the jig and plastic are hanging horizontal and slide your plastic back up so it sits straight on the hook.
