Pro Angler John Cox shares a quick tip to catch more fish on spinnerbaits.
When throwing a spinner bait, Cox will often add a scented minnow trailer such as Berkley PowerBait’s new PowerStinger. The scent from the PowerBait will attract schools of baitfish that will follow the bait and nip at the tail, especially when pulling it through weeds. The schools of baitfish give the spinnerbait an almost Alabama Rig effect with the PowerBait as the lead and is sure to help you hook into more fish the next time you’re out.
