Ice fishing on Upper Red Lake officially starts NOW! Most resorts (JR’s, West Winds, Beacons, Red Lake Remote) are welcoming foot traffic only starting tomorrow, December 2nd.
Early ice conditions require caution – everything is walking traffic only with 4-6″ of ice reported near shore. Pack accordingly for a potentially rough walk, bring your safety gear, don’t go out alone, and call your chosen resort for access rates and the latest updates.
