Over the past two weeks we’ve fish all over the metro fishing mostly for bass.
We’ve fished a variety of water types, so it’s been all over as well. Swimbaits, crankbaits, drop-shots, ned rigs, topwater… it really depends on the lake. However, if you told me to only pick a few that were the most consistent, then I would go with a swimbait, drop-shot and ned rig… those three worked everywhere.
A lot of offshore stuff… so 8-20 feet of water. Didn’t do as well WAY up shallow. One lake was dominant in 3-8 feet, while another was good in 10-15 feet. Seemed like offshore, hard-bottom spots in and around vegetation was key for bigger fish. If you just want to go “catching” then the weed line is full of fish right now on most lakes, but again, they are relating to something.
