This past week I’ve still been chasing walleyes. I ended up moving over to the east side of the bay in the Sturgeon Bay area. This week, the fishing has been great, getting 50/50 pre-spawn and post-spawn fish. Good numbers and big average size. Ripping raps and hair jigs have been the best for me.
As for water temp, it’s still hanging in the low 40s. Most fish have been hanging on the rock and sand transitions along the shoreline adjacent to spawning areas.
The best tip I can give you is to get up early and stay out late.
