Last week’s bug hatch has come and gone, and the Duluth harbor area bite has been on fire. Crawler harnesses with chartreuse, pink, blue, or white blades trolled at 1.3-1.5mph along the edge of the shipping channel have been the deal. Trolling small cranks at around 2mph like Berkley Flicker Shads and Rapala Shad Raps have also produced walleye. Water temps still haven’t hit 60 degrees, so the fish remain in the river.
