We have had a major pattern shift the past few days with the cool nights and somewhat cooler days. This have pushed the catfish out of the main currents and off the current. There are still great fish and great numbers of them to be caught.
Same baits have been working with frogs number one and suckers (if you can find them) number two. Other baits have been working too.
We have had to slow the fishing down and get out of the main current. For the most part we have moved to the inside bends of holes rather than the middle of the river or outside bends. Sitting longer has been the key, especially in the morning before things warm up. 25-30 minutes has been the baseline before moving.
