Wow, we got our 1st dose of winter just recently!! Teens overnight is a little cold for my liking already, but the fishing continues.
Jigging, Jigging, Jigging is in full swing. Vertical, pitching, dragging and Dubuque rigs are all working for Walleye and Sauger. Water temps are now hitting the mid 40’s. Berkley plastics have been dominate. Bonefish, curlybones, rib worm and ripple shads. Water did dirty up some from the rains prior to the cool down so anything bright colored has been best. With still not much current flow the fish are hanging about anywhere in the channel. It’s important to me to use my Lowrance side imaging to find schools. Once located the game is on. The fish are very hungry.
I have been focusing my efforts on the northern part of Pool 4. From the upper part of Lake Pepin and north. Although Wabasha still has a strong Walleye bite.
Also stickbaits on 3 way rigs have been effective as well.
Good luck out there!!
