Fall fishing has been extremely good for Walleye, Sauger and Perch. Take your pick and have fun!!
The Walleye have started to move up on shorelines. I am getting them casting bucktail or maribou hair jigs. Also I’ve been catching them on plastics. Berkley, bonefish, and curly bones along with the rib worm. Color seems to change daily. Casting crankbaits still are producing on rock shorelines as well. Trolling Lake Pepin breaks and the channel edge continues to put large numbers of fish in the boat. Vertical jigging current seams with hair jigs, plastics and glide baits is another great way I’m getting fish.
For Perch I am finding them in the back water areas in scattered weeds. A simple jig and Crappie minnow is working fine. A 1/16th ounce round head jig. Chartreuse, blue and also pink have all been working.
