We spent this week in Dry Lake in SW McIntosh Co North Dakota chasing walleyes.
The recent cold temps and high winds have the bite window irregular. We found best bite times we’re early morning from 7:30-9:00 am then from 4:30-5:30 pm with a few fish caught throughout the day.
Smaller presentations of lures seem to work better. Rattle baits such as the 1/4oz PK Ridge Rattl’r along with the 1/8oz PK Predator seems to work the best. Glow colors such as white and green colors received best results.
Deeper depths held fish off rocky points. Tracks are required to travel throughout the lake. ATV’s may be possible but once you break the snow crust be aware of lots of slush making travel difficult.
