
Bite is fair right now. Still finding fish on the current breaks and sandbar edges from 4-8ft. The number of nonlegal fish has gone up. There are a lot of 14 1/2 to 14 3/4s fish showing up. You have to make sure you’re measuring as the 15inch slot is back on the numbers of them are pretty thick. Still, get some good eaters in the mix, though.
Bite can be slow at times, but checking the deeper channel slots can pay off when putting fish in the boat as well.
Jig and Crawler and Jig and Minnow bite is starting to happen.
Most fish are still being caught on plain Aberdeen hooks with a half a crawler or red slow death.
Using small Colorado blades has started to work as well.
