The bite has been day to day, with no true patterns yet emerging. Water temps are up in the 60s, pods of bait are coming and going, and so are the fish. All this, coupled with a bug hatch, has been making the fishing boom and bust. One day, they feed; the next, they are lethargic and digesting. Cleaner water seems to improve the bite, and anglers are marking lots of fish in various depths, with 19-22ft being the most consistent.
The best bite has been with crawlers and bottom bouncers trolled at .8-1mph.
If the wind blows that genrally moves fish up shallower in 4-10ft so keep that in mind for day to day conditions.
