Lake Sakakawea
The fishing on Lake Sakakawea has been nothing short of fantastic! Water temps are in the 70 to 73 degree range. In the mornings the fish have been in the 9 to 12 foot range but in the afternoons they will be found down to 22 feet. Bottom bouncers and crawlers have been the go to presentation. Just about anything you want to use behind it will work well. The midsection of the lake, around the deepwater and Vanhook area has seen fish showing up a little deeper than the eastern half of the lake. On the east side concentrate on the 6 to 12 foot depth. I am expecting the fish to slide deeper as the water continues to warms. Good luck out there!
