Lake Sakakawea
Fishing this week has been nothing short of fantastic for us. Catching nice fish in the 16 to 22 inch range regularly now with a few bigger ones every day. Limits before noon have been the norm. Still pitching jigs and minnows shallow in the bays. We have been using 1/16th or 1/8th oz jigs with the nod going to the 1/16th oz. I don’t think we’ve caught a fish in anything deeper than 8 feet with most coming 2 to 6 feet. Water temps are for the most part 60 to 65 degrees now and I am expecting worms to start working well in the next week or so.
