Fishing the Iowa Great Lakes in North West Iowa.
The walleye bite has been on fire on Big Spirit Lake and now is taking off on Silver Lake, Tuttle Lake and Storm Lake. Guys are using Leeches under a slip bobber and are also doing great trolling crankbaits both at night and now the day bite has taken off.
Targeting gravel/rock shores and isolated rock piles in 6 to 10′ of water should yield fish. The weeds are starting to pop up and the fish will start to relate to those weed lines soon. The crappies and gills are moving into the docks and are on the chow, black hair jig under a bobber tipped with wigglers is the key.
I would suggest moving around till you find the right docks that are holding numbers of fish fish West and East Okoboji.
