Fishing has been steady on Mille Lacs for the past week. The consistent temps have the bite fairly predictable. Fish have officially moved to the deep structure off of flats and the edge of the mud flats in the northeast section of the lake. We’ve been finding 14-27 inch fish on the edges of the structure mentioned above, catching most with slip bobber and leech as well as crawler harnesses. Trolling cranks has gotten bigger fish but they have to be in the right mood. Midday the fish have been deeper during then transition to top edges of flats during primetime hours.
As always, use your electronics to find good structure and fish. Once you find fish drop the bobber and leech past the fish and slowly work it closer to the fish.
