This week’s fishing report is for target fish: musky.
With this warm spell, the bite has gotten very hit and miss. Feeding windows have been short-lived. I’m seeing 20 to 30 min windows, and that’s about it. I’ve been targeting sand flats that are holding balls of shad on them. For baits, I’ve been using my go-to jointed Big Eye Customs and Bluewater KO Shads.
Depths I have been targeting have been ranging from 6′ to 10′. Water temps have been holding at 66° to 68°. We need a good cool down to help the bite. The tip of the week is one I always stress week to week. It’s really important to pay attention to your moon phase. Most bites have been coming on the peaks.
