Water Temp 71 degrees
MUSKY:
The northern bay near Oconto has seen the most concentrated fish in shallow weed beds. Bucktails and bulldogs have been the go-to lures. Throw bucktails when fish are in the weeds and throw the big rubber when the fish are more off the edges. The water is murked up a bit, so brighter colors work better.
WALLEYE:
The fishing has been best down near Geano and has gotten a little tougher near Oconto. Trolling is the deal out across mud bottoms. The walleye are focused on shad, so Rapala Shad Raps and Berkley Flicker Shads are good lures. Target depths of 27-30 feet over mud or 10-12 feet up on the reef. Snap weights will help you get down nearly 30 feet following the 50/50 rule. Attach the snap weight 50 feet above the crankbait and let out another 50 feet of line.
SMALLMOUTH:
Bass are up in 2-3ft, and slow dragging tubes have been the dominant presentation.
