Water temps are bumping up and fishing has really turned on. Finding walleyes in 3-6 feet of water particularly on wind blown shorelines. Been casting soft plastic paddle tails like Mimic Minnows, Impulse and Keitech. Shallow running crankbaits have also been working well like Rumble Shiners, Hit Sticks, shallow running Shad Raps and Countdowns. Afternoons have been better when the water warms up. We’ve been using slip bobbers and leeches to catch fish right away in the morning. Many of the large shallow bays have been best. Look for stained water as the water is clearing up in places.
