Clear Lake, IA (October 9, 2024)

Currently the walleye have been on the move.  We have been tossing plastics but jig and minnow is doing well to. Fall brings great fishing but it takes time for them to settle in.  Water temps are around 60° and it seems on the warmer days the bite is better. I prefer warmer days windy and on rocks or near rocks with weeds.

The white bass have been biting very good. It just takes a little time to find them but once you do it’s game on. Jigs with white plastic or tikka minnows are working good. The whites also prefer Windy days.

Crappies are showing up in deep structure or weeds in 5-7ft.  Slip bobber or small jigs in and over the weeds is producing fish.

While guiding for regular fish we’re seeing 2-3 skis per trip. I gotta assume they are starting to chew.
