Northern Iowa has seen massive amounts of rain which have shut down some areas in the state so there is more boats and pressure on Clear Lake right now. Water temps have finally creeped into the high seventies. Mornings and evenings have been the best for walleye. Curly Lead pondweed is dying off and walleye are starting to relate to the eelgrass and rock. Pitching 1/8th ounce jigs with a leech or half a crawler. Weed fish have been in 4-6 feet of water. Fish on rocks have been 5-10 feet of water. Been also using slip bobbers and leeches. With the jigs, the fish have seemed to like a snappier presentation or retrieve that mimics a crayfish.
