Dax Szegda here from Chetek WI and the spring panfishing has been great!!
I have mainly been targeting panfish and crappies staging by their spawning areas finding the warmest water they can. My best presentations for spring panfish are a Northland fire fly jig under a float or a long shank jig with a 1” gulp minnow under a float. I am not as concerned about depth or structure right now, I am more concerned about water temperature.
This weekend is Wisconsin fishing opener so if you are getting out, be safe, enjoy the beautiful weather and don’t be slow at the boat landing
