The daytime walleye action has been steady throughout Central Minnesota. The best bite has been in the mornings from 7 am-10:30 am and then again from 4 pm until it’s too dark to see what you are doing. The best depths have been the weed line depths orientated in the 12′-16′ range. Make sure you drill 20-30 extra holes so that you can scrounge up bonus fish throughout the day while “hole hopping”. Jigging spoons like the Northland Tackle “Buckshot” spoon in the green/glow color or the pink/glow “Weasel” spoon by JB Lures with a gold back have been very productive. Tip the spoon with the head of a fathead or crappie minnow (save your big expensive minnows for the dead stick or tip-up! ) Lotsa Fish! Lotsa Fun!
