Targeting suspended walleye with slip bobbers, especially when using Livescope, is a great way to catch fish. When the bite gets tough, especially from heavy pressure or clear water, there are two things you can do:

  1. Use lighter line. Drop down to 6 lb fluoro to reduce your line diameter and what the fish are able to see.
  2. Downsize your hook. Switch from a traditional jig to a single hook. This will slim the hook profile and also slow the fall rate to help trigger bites.
