Lake Mille Lacs, MN (June 17th, 2023)

The past week on Mille Lacs has seen a tougher bite, but steady. Fish have been transitioning to the reefs and are roaming on the tops during the day and push off the edges during prime time hours. A jig and shiner or leech under a slip bobber continues to produce the most fish. Crawler harnesses are beginning to bring in nice numbers of fish as well. Fish are also starting to be found on the mud flats in the north part of the lake. A mix of walleye and smallmouth will keep everyone happy! Use your electronics and fish one piece of structure at a time to make the size of the lake less intimidating.
